One Percent Collective 3 Year Anniversary
Doing good business means achieving more than commercial success. It means choosing to operate in a way that benefits your customers, your staff, your community and the environment.
Each year we donate 1% of our company’s revenue to causes we support, predominantly through One Percent Collective. As a small team based in Wellington, One Percent Collective have partnered with 14 Aotearoa-based charities to make donating 1% of your company’s income to local causes an easy and enjoyable experience for everyone. Recently we celebrated our three year anniversary where we have been able to donate $16,500 to 11 of the charities that we support with our regular giving.
That equates to…
Around 150 native trees planted alongside Aotearoa's waterways on prepared sites with engaged locals.
100 Neonatal Trust 'Essential' packs to support parents during the many trips in and out of the hospital on their neonatal journey.
180 nights of Bellyful meals for around 60 families facing an unexpected struggle.
25 hours of speech-language therapy giving a voice to a child with Down syndrome.
2381 meals that have gone to hungry tummies instead of landfill thanks to Kaibosh's food rescue efforts.
Around 1200 kg of much-needed medical equipment that Take My Hands has been able to transport to our Pacific island neighbours.
And has helped…
Rangatahi with loads of potential, but limited opportunities, to understand their potential, channel that potential, and fulfil that potential with direction and mentorship from Ngā Rangatahi Toa.
DCM to continue to provide a range of essential services for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
SpinningTop provide a little more balance in the lives of vulnerable children.
And it has meant…
38 young people in rural or provincial New Zealand having access to 2 weeks of Inspiring Stories' Future Leaders programme, being inspired and building their connections and skills for the future and it’s 44 children who have been able to plant, nurture, harvest, cook, and eat the fruit and veg from a school garden for a whole school year thanks to Garden to Table's programmes.
That’s a pretty big deal!
