Mike has been working in IT for close to 20 years and before launching his own business was the head of IT at one of New Zealand's largest magazine publishers.
While Mike has a strong technical background and senior leadership experience, he won’t bore you with jargon, acronyms or management speak. Mike works with you to find strategies that make sense for your business.
Brightly values sustainability and regeneration, which is reflected by Mike’s enthusiasm for the outdoors. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, you’ll find him getting into the wilds for trail running and photography.

Nick supports our customers by assisting with their security needs and resolving their technical issues. With a background in the hospitality and retail industries as well as IT, Nick brings great communication and people skills, so he’s the ideal person to offer friendly, knowledgeable advice that supports our customers and help them succeed. Nick enjoys being part of a company dedicated to positive change and with an incredible team. Outside of work, Nick likes to watch movies and is an aspiring birdwatcher.

Andy has more than 15 years’ experience in IT across the tourism, publishing and trade sectors.
Andy sees himself as a generalist and applies a holistic approach to his work, leveraging experience from systems and network engineer roles as well as more recent positions as a solutions architect. His attention to detail and focus on diverse and secure solutions combine to deliver resilient and reliable systems.
Outside of the office, Andy can usually be found searching for new trails to ride and mountains to ski.

Lorena’s role blends business sustainability, procurement, customer support and marketing. For her it’s a chance to combine her business administration knowledge with her 13 years of experience in the IT industry to contribute to a company that is doing its bit to make a positive impact. Keeping all these important operational cogs in our business moving calls for someone who is adaptable, with a can-do approach, and we love the positive way that Lorena helps to keep Brightly ticking behind the scenes so our customers have the best experience, and the team can do their best work.

With her detailed and patient approach, Nives takes the time to understand and document customer needs and requirements, then designs and implements solutions that work best for them. A diverse background across hospitality, HR, and Government means she has particular skills in stakeholder management, training, creating documentation and supporting clients in achieving organisational goals through the smart use of technology. Having recently learned to surf, Nives’ happy place is being by the sea, and her day is not complete without a good HIIT workout or Pilates session.

With 13 years of experience in IT, Ash specialises in designing resilient infrastructure, enhancing security, and ensuring seamless performance across diverse environments. His consultative and creative problem-solving approach makes complex challenges feel manageable, whether he's optimising systems or getting clients through their ISO 27001 certification.
Beyond work, Ash enjoys the open road, finding relaxation in driving and discovering new places. He also loves the challenge of online gaming, where strategy and adaptability are key—skills that serve him just as well in the tech world!

Tamara’s more than 20 years' experience in project management means she brings sound judgement, adaptability and strong attention to detail – just the kind of skills that come in handy with our high-pressure projects. Having worked across a range of sectors, Tamara is now excited to help us deliver positive impact on the environment and community through IT strategies. She enjoys a challenge, and it seems there’s plenty of that outside of the office too with a Blue Heeler pup to keep her on her toes!

As a Systems Engineer, he tackles technical issues, resolves tricky service requests, supports mobile device management across diverse fleets, and keeps systems patched and performing at their best. He’s known for staying calm under pressure and offering clear, step-by-step guidance to get things back on track.
With two master's degrees and a passion for learning, outside of work you'll likely find him diving into forums and the latest IT trends and cyber security. He thrives in Brightly’s curious, supportive culture that values shared knowledge and the unique energy he brings to the table.

John is part of the team providing day-to-day remote and on-site technical support to our clients. Backed by a degree in software development, John brings several years of experience working in IT support. He understands the importance of good communication and of building trusted relationships with our customers so they feel comfortable to reach out for help. John loves that he can directly help businesses make the best use of technology, while being a part of a team and wider community focused on contributing to a sustainable, regenerative future.

She loves working within an ever-evolving industry that stays fresh, exciting and interesting, while helping our customers get the most out of new technology in their own businesses.
