Brightly is 4!
This month, Brightly turns 4, and what a significant year 2020 has been. We’ve had the ongoing challenges of Covid-19 plus exciting milestones like our Brightly rebrand and B Corp certification.
Our company started in a home office which we quickly outgrew supporting our core group of initial customers. We feel lucky to say many have grown with us and remain clients today. Like any young company, we’ve had tough years and hard lessons, making us agile and resilient, well-positioned to support our customers in a year full of uncertainty.
Impact-led business has never been more important and, while our individual impact can seem small, working with our network of suppliers, customers and partners we’re building momentum. None of us can effect the change we need to see alone, but it’s incredible to see what we can do together.
This year we have supported customers through their Covid-19 responses and helped them adapt to remote work. We increased our e-waste recycling significantly, working with Computer Recycling to manage over 620 kg of e-waste in the past six months alone. New automated workflows have helped customers manage electronic invoicing, online training development, and leave processes for remote teams. These solutions have reduced paper-based systems and manual effort, significantly improving efficiency and freeing up time for their teams to focus on recovery and growth.
We’d like to say a huge thanks to our customers and community for all your support, and we look forward to sharing stories of our growth at each birthday milestone. Our impact focus now is on becoming carbon positive, increasing our non-profit partnerships and continuing to champion e-waste reduction and recycling. Bring on 2021!
