Our 2024–2025 Impact Report is here
Brightly’s latest Impact Report is now live, and this year marks an important shift in how we measure, report and improve our impact.
As B Corp transitions to a new, more rigorous set of certification standards, we’ve chosen to align with them early. That means the way we think about our impact, the way we evaluate ourselves and the way we hold ourselves accountable has evolved.
What you’ll find in the full Impact Report
This report captures the mahi, momentum and measurable impact created by our team, partners, customers and community in 2024-2025.
Inside the report, you’ll find:
Our full environmental, social and governance performance across all new B Corp standards
Detailed impact stories spotlighting customers and partners
A breakdown of our emissions, donations, and community contributions
Clear goals for where we’re heading next
It’s a transparent view of what we’ve achieved, and what we’re holding ourselves accountable to in the years ahead.
Why the new B Corp standards matter
B Lab has recognised that the previous scoring model wasn’t enough to meet the complexity of today’s social and environmental challenges, nor the diversity of B Corp certified and aspiring businesses. As highlighted in our report, the new standards move away from points-based scoring and towards minimum performance expectations across essential areas of impact.
Businesses must now demonstrate meaningful performance in each of the new pillars, including:
Purpose & stakeholder governance
Fair work
Justice, equity, diversity & inclusion (JEDI)
Human rights
Climate action
Environmental stewardship & circularity
Government affairs & collective action
While the new standards won’t formally come into effect for us until recertification in 2027, we’ve already begun aligning our internal systems, policies and reporting to them.
A year of impact worth celebrating
This has been one of our strongest years of impact yet, and we’re incredibly proud of what our values-led team has achieved.
Some highlights:
We’ve grown, strengthened and invested in our people while achieving a 50/50 gender split of men and women, well above the industry average.
1,450kg of e-waste recycled through Echo – that’s about 1,035 laptops diverted from landfill.
We’ve invested in community, equity and collective action, with $92k in discounted and pro-bono services and $34k in direct donations.
From Garden to Table to Digital Future Aotearoa and Sustainable Coastlines, our partners are creating tangible, frontline impact, and we’re proud to back their mahi with secure, sustainable technology support.
The B Corp framework is also a tool for continuous improvement. It helps us connect day-to-day decisions with our long-term visions of an equitable Aotearoa. We’re committed to learning, adjusting and raising the bar each year, for ourselves and for our industry.
