Mike Carroll

Founder and Principal Consultant

Mike has been working in IT for close to 20 years and before launching his own business was the head of IT at one of New Zealand's largest magazine publishers.

While Mike has a strong technical background and senior leadership experience, he won’t bore you with jargon, acronyms or management speak. Mike works with you to find strategies that make sense for your business.

Brightly values sustainability and regeneration, which is reflected by Mike’s enthusiasm for the outdoors. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, you’ll find him getting into the wilds for trail running and photography.

Andy Walsh

Co-Founder and Technical Consultant

Andy has more than 15 years’ experience in IT across the tourism, publishing and trade sectors.

Andy sees himself as a generalist and applies a holistic approach to his work, leveraging experience from systems and network engineer roles as well as more recent positions as a solutions architect. His attention to detail and focus on diverse and secure solutions combine to deliver resilient and reliable systems.

Outside of the office, Andy can usually be found searching for new trails to ride and mountains to ski.

Sophie Ribton

Business Impact and Customer Support

Sophie has just completed a Bachelor of Business, and has been instrumental in everything B Corp, as well as managing customer support tickets. She’s committed to never leaving tasks unfinished, and works hard, but always with a smile. Her personal mantra is, ‘In a world where you can be anything, be kind.’

When she’s not working, she continues to seek out learning opportunities within the business. Outside of office hours, you’ll probably find her checking out a new café or relaxing on a beach somewhere.

Priya Ramakrishnan

Customer Service Lead

Priya arrived at IT after spending six years putting her investigative journalism qualifications to good use in Singapore. Her next role introduced her to the fascinating world of coding and IT. In 2019, she completed a diploma in IT at Whitecliffe College, and this year she became certified in Microsoft 365. 

Priya sees Brightly working with organisations who want holistic, sustainable technology solutions. “Sustainability for me is any solution that is elastic, scalable, and organic.” 

Priya’s enthusiasm for learning means she’s the first to volunteer when there’s a device that needs to be opened up and tinkered with. And when she’s not helping clients troubleshoot their IT issues, you’ll find her trekking outdoors (vlogging as she goes), or spending time with friends and family.
